Zonal therapy is an ancient Indian
treatment and it is origin of hands and foot reflexology. The zones also have a
relationship to acupressure points. It is simple therapy and any one can do it.
Nadipathy believes that by taking care of the foot we can affect the whole
body. In this, the body is divided by vertical lines into five zones of the
left side and five zones of the right side (5left x 5 right) these zones
related to all parts of the body within each zone. The fingers and toes affect corresponding
parts of the body and are the primary areas of treatment. Zone therapy works more
directly on nerve endings that are connected with organs along the zones. A
very effective technique for pain release. The zonal lines are interlinked to
organs of the human body.
When the massaging, cover all
possible zones for a specific organ, strong pressure on tip of the thumb or big
toe affects the whole first zone. Similar pressure on the tips of the other fingers
toes will affect corresponding zone. Ten vertical zones of the body are
connected with those in the feet. Any imbalance in any part of the zone can be
corrected by applying pressure on the corresponding finger tips. Zone therapy
stimulates the every organ and renews the cell system in each treatment. Zone
therapy is a holistic approach which recognises that all the body’s cells and
organs make up a complex and interactive organism. Zone therapy treatment can
be administrated by the qualified therapist.
The principle of zonal therapy states
that there are reflexes on the bottom of the foot and palms that are directly
related to organs, glands and other parts of the body. Therapist will find the
reflex points and that are activates these points through acupressure on stimulation
on these points, which in turn helps these organs, glands and other body parts
to work better.
In this zonal therapy zones contains
the meridians related to the organs. Because all of the acupuncture meridians
of the body either begin or ends on the feet or hands. Health is crucially important
for balance of the energy system.
